In wine there is wisdom.
In beer there is strength.
In water there is bacteria.

German proverb

This should be a picture of the pub The Hawne Tavern is a small and popular FREE HOUSE just off the main road between Halesowen and Stourbridge, in fact this is, in local parlance, a bostin' (real gem of a) Black Country pub. Ray, the landlord, provides a variety of regular beers and ciders with up to six guest REAL ALES all kept in supurb condition. Wholesome and delicious home cooking is also available during the early evenings.

This should be a picture of the pub lounge The house has two rooms :-

THE LOUNGE :- comfortable and warm is similar in style to the 'front parlours' of the many Victorian houses with which it is surrounded. The 'old' fireplace is opposite the bar. No sophisticated distractions such as a juke-box or electronic gaming machines are in this room - it is a room for good old-fashioned conversation.

THE BAR :- larger than the Lounge, this room contains a pool table, dart board, telephone, juke-box, TV and a 'bandit'. Though basic, it too is very comfortable and welcoming.
